Dr. Stephanie White

About

Stephanie A White is a neuroethologist and systems biologist. She is a professor of Integrative Biology and Physiology at UCLA where she directs the undergraduate neuroscience IDP. Her research investigates how the brains of birds and babies progress from cooing and crying to singing and speaking. At the Marine Biological Labs, White previously co-directed the Grass Fellowship program and the Neural Systems and Behavior course. In 2024, she became a AAAS Fellow.
